The Thaw

In the icy port city of Szczecin at the turn of winter into spring, Detective Katarzyna Zawieja is called to investigate the body of a young mother discovered on the frozen banks of the Oder River. When evidence reveals the victim had recently given birth and the newborn is missing, Zawieja embarks on an agonizing race against time across the city's maritime industrial landscapes. Still consumed by grief following the mysterious death of her police officer husband, the relentless detective must confront buried local secrets and her own unraveling trauma as the search deepens.
