Milkman

In an unnamed Belfast-like community divided by the Troubles, an eighteen-year-old woman known only as middle sister attempts to keep her head down and read 19th-century novels while walking. Her quiet existence unravels when she becomes the target of relentless unwanted attention from Milkman, a prominent and much older paramilitary commander, igniting pervasive neighborhood gossip, surveillance, and escalating social danger in an oppressive sectarian society.
