An excellent description of how the banking system works :) As a former bank employee, I was thrilled by the book and simply had to go read Going Postal afterwards.
jaroiva on Goodreads "Making Money" offers an original and compelling plot, the return of beloved characters, fast-paced action, and a generous dose of humor. In my opinion, the Lipwig adventures are the best subseries in the entire universe. You just want to spend as much time with these characters as possible. Recommended to every fantasy fan.
mysilicielka on Goodreads The target of his biting irony this time is the business world: who better to be a banker than a showman gesturing with one hand to make people laugh while slipping the other into their pockets to rob them?
Sakura87 on Goodreads Very fun and fresh new characters, especially Mr. Bent, plenty of humor and sharp critiques of the banking system and economics, and everything else you could hope for from Discworld.
Thiago d'Evecque on Goodreads I am not an unconditional Pratchett fan, and I find both highs and lows across Discworld. But this volume, in my humble opinion, is definitely among the best. The main character is engaging, the subject (finance and modern economics) is compelling, and Pratchett's trademark humor brings just the right touch of levity without devolving into absurdity for absurdity's sake as sometimes happens in his weaker works.
