It carries the viewer beyond words; leaving the cinema, the world itself looks different. A masterpiece that transports you entirely—not a flashy adventure, but a solemn spiritual pilgrimage that feels like an epiphany.

• The performances are remarkable; Lowery brings together a versatile Dev Patel who portrays a wide range of emotional states in the lead role, moving from arrogance and complacency to fear and desperation as his journey nears its end.

• Beyond the stunning visual language, Dev Patel's nuanced performance leaves a lasting impression, alongside the many inventive touches—such as using a medieval puppet show to convey the passage of time leading to the final duel. An idea that could easily veer into absurdity, but here captures the exact tone of this powerful, strange, and mythical tale.

• The Green Knight clearly stands apart from the crowd. Director David Lowery draws on Arthurian legend, specifically the verse romance Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, to deliver a fantastical coming-of-age fable steeped in dreamlike atmosphere.

• It is a dreamlike film with a lingering, measured pace that cares far more about character development than plot mechanics; do not go in expecting duels or sweeping battles, as that is not what this is. To top it off, the cast is fantastic, led by Dev Patel, who surprised me completely, and Alicia Vikander, every bit as dangerously captivating as she was in Ex Machina.
