Seventeen-year-old Ruby Rossi is the only hearing member of a deaf fishing family in Gloucester, Massachusetts. When her high school choir teacher encourages her to audition for Berklee College of Music, Ruby finds herself torn between her responsibilities as her family's interpreter and her own dream of singing.
