The cast he assembles for the film is phenomenal, with a varied cast of talented actors who all bring something memorable to the screen. The film is very well acted and directed, and the script is well written and boasts plenty of drama that conveys the ordeal perfectly.
Alex 🇺🇦 on Letterboxd Under Pete Travis’s direction, and with an extraordinary cast, the account of this episode overflows with tension and anticipation.
Isabela Boscov on Letterboxd I was pleasantly surprised with this very effective and taut look at the lead up to the end of apartheid. It doesn't hide behind the shortcomings of both sides of the divide and provides a real sense of the dangers of life in South Africa during this time (danger which by all accounts has still not completely abated).
