School of Rock

• School of Rock is about nothing but pure joy and constant smiling. I expected a goofy and funny movie, but this is so much more fun and amazing than I expected. This film reminded me how much I love music, making it and listening to it.

• Linklater's most delightful film, Jack Black's finest performance, Joan Cusack is so endearing, and the kids are totally awesome! A rock crash course and a massive compilation of legendary hits that is sheer joy to watch. Why take a pretentious stance analyzing how deeply 'rock spirit' is represented, or fuss over realism and educational value? As if our educational lecturing wasn't tedious enough already!

• Overflowing with rock classics from AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and The Who, Jack Black's signature facial expressions and passionate performance explode on screen. It is an utter joy and a great masterpiece full of euphoria that celebrates the wonder of music and staying true to yourself.

• It was so incredibly fun. I was hooked right from the opening, and the rhythmic pacing keeps you engaged the whole way through. Every character has their own personality and their moment to shine, which made it so thrilling. The final concert was so cool that it brought tears to my eyes.

• Without a doubt the best film that portrays rock, being funny and very entertaining. Jack Black made great use of his experience as a rocker (being the lead singer of Tenacious D), giving the film incredible magic and a desire to learn more about this fantastic style of music. The finale is amazing, making any rocker sing along and feel immense emotion, along with a real fondness for the film.
