The Preacher

In Quito, a desperate con artist discovers a young girl whose parents claim she witnesses visions of the Virgin Mary. Smelling an easy fortune, he partners with the family to construct a shrine for hopeful pilgrims. As piles of donations roll in, corrupt police officers and ruthless local criminals muscle in on the lucrative scam, pushing the fraud toward a violent and chaotic collapse.
