In 1983 Santiago during the height of Pinochet's military dictatorship, a spirited young mother in the working-class La Victoria settlement takes in a naive American missionary who carries a video camera. As violent state repression closes in around their community, the visitor's footage captures both intimate neighborhood solidarity and the harrowing price of political defiance.
