HaninTantawy on Letterboxd Deeply interesting, extraordinarily touching. It made me think of my great-uncle telling me about crossing Afghanistan on horseback back in the day—I was completely stunned at the time, but seeing this, it does not surprise me at all.
blode96 on Letterboxd The story of a people that has been and continues to be exploited as collateral damage from all sides. The Soviet Union, the USA, the fundamentalists, the Afghan resistance fighters, the Arab collaborators, the terrorist organizations, Western arms suppliers, and of course currently the Taliban—surrounded by opportunists. Were I religious, I would pray above all for these people.
