Black & White

• The script, sets, narrative focus, acting, score, and cinematography are all of top-tier quality. Every detail is astonishingly executed; for instance, the MRT sequence early in the story truly makes you appreciate the sheer difficulty and ambition of pulling off such staging.

• I spent a week finally finishing Black & White, and in one word: 'phenomenal'! It is easily the most thrilling police action drama in recent years. Even now, almost a week after finishing it, my heart is still racing with excitement, so I had to write down my thoughts to channel this overwhelming surge of emotion!

• Plot twist buffet, that’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Black and White. The story is filled with plot twist after plot twist after plot twist. Just when viewers think they understand what’s going on, the story throws a curveball leaving more questions then answers. Looking back, there were quite a few clues scattered around and elements of foreshadowing throughout the story so nothing is completely illogical, though some parts do come close.

• A great drama stands the test of time. Black & White may just be the best TW-drama ever made, and not just because it stars my Vic Zhou (Zai Zai) as the male lead. B&W has it all – completely pre-shot on film stock with a seasoned PD, a star-studded cast, a riveting and tense story, a K-drama worthy emotional journey for all four leads, and a nail biting thriller execution.

• I watched this and it was interesting to say the least. 😂 I didn't remember the police plot much but I remember it was twist after twist and it was kind of wild -- probably the most plot twists you can find in any drama. 🤣 Its the first time I see love line where everyone like someone else so its all unrequited love for everyone. And also worth to add the script quality is definitely a notch better than most Taiwanese dramas at that time.
