• I ended up binge-watching the whole thing. For someone who hasn't read the novel or seen the original film, I found it deeply immersive and thoroughly enjoyable. The setup makes you empathize with an assassin who will do anything for his work, yet leaves zero traces to keep his cherished family safe. Looking forward to the next season.

• The series smartly updates the 1971 story, adapting it to the challenges faced by an assassin in the age of digital surveillance and social media, making the narrative feel surprisingly contemporary.

• Top notch! I've watched the first 5 episodes so far and haven't been disappointed. Finally an exciting show again after a long time.

• Superb series, largely thanks to Eddie Redmayne. A brilliant performance showcasing his chameleonic transformation from an ice-cold hitman to a loving husband and father. Very gripping and told with plenty of action.

It uses the versatile and impenetrable lens of a great character to explore the obsessions and intrigues of contemporary society. Exceptional tone and rhythm, seamlessly blending classical storytelling with a modern edge.
