I felt deep sorrow. Its greatest strength lies not in the combat scenes, but in the show's care for humanity and its profound compassion. Past Chinese war films indoctrinated generations with disregard for life and victory at any cost. Which drama has ever truly explored the disposable vanguard like this? To me, it is countless times better than even the widely loved 'Soldiers Sortie'.
新浪网友(美国) on Sina Entertainment This is the best Chinese war drama series I have ever seen! It far surpasses other domestic war productions! It is shocking, authentic, and truly touches you. Just like 'Assembly', it sets a new benchmark in film and television. I hope other similar series learn from it! Only then can they progress and stop misleading the audience.
新浪网友(江西南昌) on Sina Entertainment This is a TV drama that requires you to calm your mind and watch patiently. It doesn't lecture or forcibly preach patriotic spirit, yet it touched my heart far more than so-called mainstream films. Watching 'Drawing Swords' never gave me an urge to defend my country, but watching 'Commander' quietly stirred that deep impulse within me.
