Cuneiform is the only book I read with genuine pleasure for my school reading list. It is a truly fascinating and deeply poignant book. It is completely different from anything else, and exceptionally original. It is educational too, so what more could you want? The writing style was occasionally disorienting as it constantly jumps between past and present, but it's wonderful.
wwelover on BoekMeter The life story of a deaf-mute man, written by his son who holds immense respect for him. It really hits its stride past the halfway mark and becomes a wonderful read. It paints an excellent picture of that culture and the way people lived in that country at the time.
missl on BoekMeter A fascinating book. Beautiful writing style and a great story.
