A Country Doctor

After his release from detention, an idealistic Egyptian physician accepts a posting to a remote rural clinic in Upper Egypt. In an isolated village at the desert's edge, he confronts entrenched traditions, widespread poverty, and unchecked local authorities while treating neglected patients and falling for a resident nurse.
