Profound, exciting, complex and at the same time genuinely engaging reading material. Martina Wildner is one of the most interesting voices in children's books.
From Eselsohr Linguistically clear, almost sober, the author outlines a psychologically thrilling, unusually nuanced story about coming of age and gaining inner freedom.
From NZZ am Sonntag The reviewer praises as masterful how subtly and impressively the author manages to show the curse and blessing of competitive sports, and how she ultimately lets her narrator find a completely normal life outside competitive sports.
