Yadollah is an Iranian musician and writer living in an attic room in a Parisian boarding house with other Iranian exiles and French tenants. Suffering from chronic insomnia and memory loss, he spends his nights painting and reconstructing his past in Tehran while preparing for what he believes is his trial after death.
