Her Story

Wang Tiemei is a former investigative reporter raising her nine-year-old daughter Moli in Shanghai. After switching to digital media, she moves into a new apartment and befriends her neighbor Xiao Ye, an indie band singer dealing with an unfaithful partner. Tiemei juggles her job, dates Moli's drum teacher Xiao Ma, and fends off unsolicited advice from her ex-husband Qian Mo. Across work crises and rocky relationships, Tiemei and Xiao Ye share childcare and daily support on their own terms.
