Timbuktu

When religious fundamentalists seize control of the Malian city of Timbuktu, they outlaw music, laughter, and sports under strict sharia rule. Outside the city among the dunes, cattle herder Kidane and his family live a tranquil, dignified life until an accidental altercation with a local fisherman drags him before the militant court.
