Ahmed Al-Shafee on Letterboxd I watched this film and felt that these are people whose lives are completely in disarray, and there's no fairy-tale ending—only open endings for all of them. Yet when Egypt won, they managed for just one brief moment to forget all those burdens. In reality there are so many stories like this, but we all cling to a single victory. Football in Egypt isn't just entertainment; nobody truly knows what a single goal can do to people's lives and make them forget how harsh the world around them is.
basmala280 on Letterboxd The film "One-Zero" succeeded in capturing what happens behind the scenes of characters and archetypes present in our society with extreme craftsmanship. It presented each character's troubles and turmoil individually, and toward the middle, the tightly woven screenplay blended the characters together to intertwine their crises further, making the film even more compelling.
