Second Skin
Seeking redemption from his criminal past, an ex-mobster opens a tranquil bookstore in a quiet coastal town, only for his new life to unravel when an amnesiac woman is struck outside his shop. As he shelters her and helps piece together her forgotten identity, he discovers she may be a lethal operative tied directly to the syndicate he abandoned.

The cast, which also includes Peter Fonda as a baddie, does a decent enough job, and Roodt keeps the action moving briskly enough, but the film never generates any suspense, and the twists not only go in expected directions, but pop up in all the expected places.
Michael Dequina on Film Threat I did, at least, and I do recommend the movie to you. Most of the people commenting on IMDB didn’t know what to make of the film. Too many cliches, they say, and they may be right, but for me, they’re the right kind of cliches.
Steve Lewis on Mystery*File Beautifully photographed, this neat little neo-noir tale of crime, secrets and surprises sometimes goes over the top, and in general may try just a little too much, but sometimes excesses with the right kind of intentions can be forgiven.
