This platform has made its name as a reliable purveyor of cosy crime dramas. It brings the second series of this gentle but accomplished Australian murder mystery in which widowed former nurse Joan (Greta Scacchi) and retired cop Jack (Bryan Brown) travel the outback.
Phil Harrison on The Guardian Darby And Joan works because of Bryan Brown and Greta Scacchi. The mysteries themselves are “meh,” but they don’t have to be strong because the show’s stars work so well together.
Joel Keller on Decider Best of all, Scacchi and Brown both remain winningly starry screen presences. Having apparently been friends for decades, they certainly have the chemistry required for the two main characters.
