Pokémon

• Although the visuals are naturally somewhat dated, it maintains clean production, with simple yet never rigid designs, and remarkably fluid animation for a young audience show. While the plot follows a familiar formula, it never feels heavy; any shortcomings are smoothed over by the grand design and the skillfully crafted world around it.

• Beyond the animation quality and the characters, the series benefits greatly from its catchy and memorable soundtrack. The opening theme, 'Gotta Catch 'Em All!', has become an iconic anthem in the Pokémon universe, evoking instant memories of the excitement of watching the show. The tunes during battles and emotional moments add an extra layer of immersion and feeling.

• This first season with Misty, Brock, and of course Ash really left a mark on me. That's why I felt compelled to write a positive review of this series that brought so much wonder to my childhood. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then, and we've blasted off toward other skies... as the famous Team Rocket would say!

• The first generation of Pokémon will always remain in the memory of those of us who watched every episode with utter excitement. Those starter Pokémon are unmatched. The person writing these words had the dream of every fan of the series: to complete the collection of figures of these memorable creatures. Unfortunately it wasn't fulfilled, but no one can ever take away such a wonderful childhood. This is where it all began, giving rise to a true global phenomenon.

• Looking back at this show, the music is I think the best part that's stood the test of time. The orchestral remixes of the Game Boy tracks are awesome! Every battle theme pretty much carries the action, despite the limited animation frames at times. Of course, the English opening theme from the first season is pretty much one of the best anime openings of all time, though I must say all the other four English openings are really great.
