Such an amazingly well-written look inside the complexity of oppressed women that might not be the first of its kind, however, it never fails to amaze me how these stories still feel so refreshing. Really made me miss Mary Harron as a director but I‘m glad that everyone now agress on the fact that Sarah Gadon is the second coming of christ.

It delivers genuine mystery with subtle horror elements that make it thoroughly gripping 🙆♀️ The houses, furniture, and costumes were all wonderful, leaving me completely satisfied 😊

And they provide a quite detailed insight into a time when the lives of the destitute population and of women in general were exceedingly harsh and virtually 'worthless'. A great success!
