X-Men '97

• Magneto fighting to defend the civilians on Genosha was insanely cool, and his subsequent line about how it is not just the horror of Genosha itself, but the terrifying reality that mutants endure such tragedies again and again, was truly fantastic.

• Every episode aired so far has been very good, but episode 5 is simply spectacular. It has been a long time since a show brought me to tears, and the fact that it is an animated work speaks volumes about the sheer quality of the writing.

• A sensational, surprising venture that reconnected me with the moment I discovered superhero comics as a child. It feels as though they took an '80s kids' series and crafted a mature version, picking up the same storyline for those same kids who are now entering or past their forties. Brilliant animation, backed by a narrative packed with dramatic tension and genuinely astonishing twists.

• Even though Rogue and Wolverine shine once again, no one can truly compete with Magneto, who develops into one of the greatest animated characters ever written here. His emotions, demeanor, and choices are staged with complete conviction, drawing the viewer utterly under his spell.

• To put it plainly, it is tremendously entertaining. Packed with thrilling elements, from battle sequences made possible only through animation to the stellar vocal delivery of the cast. The plot delivers that quintessential, classic X-Men storytelling.
