Severance

• Grotesque and genuinely moving, brilliant and phlegmatically gripping, 'Severance' thrives not only on excellent writing, but also on the superb, and at times magnificent, performance of the entire cast.

• Severance presents a disturbing corporate universe where workers are reduced to cogs in a machine without knowing anything about their own lives. The series delves deeply into themes such as memory, identity, and emotional abuse within large corporations. Ben Stiller's direction uses camera angles and contrasts to emphasize the dehumanization of the workplace, while the cast, including Patricia Arquette and Christopher Walken, delivers chilling performances.

• After what feels like a hundred shows following the exact same formula, Severance is a breath of fresh air. So bizarre, thrilling, socially critical, and (occasionally) funny all at once... that is truly rare. For me, one of the best shows of recent years.

• A truly extraordinary series. The atmosphere, actors, and storyline have led me to watch the first season for the fourth time now, and each time I discover some detail I hadn't noticed before.

• For its first season, Severance is a truly excellent series and a great discovery. With an unrelenting commentary on corporate life, following the characters' evolution and the mysteries that shape this atmosphere is a treat. Full of substance and intelligence, with a well-judged balance between building enigmas and providing answers.
