Deadwater Fell
A house fire in the Scottish village of Kirkdarroch kills Kate Kendrick and her three young daughters. Her husband Tom, the local general practitioner, survives and is pulled from the blaze. When investigators discover that the family was drugged before the fire started, the inquiry uncovers long-standing tensions and hidden conflicts within the community.

Mark Cunliffe on Letterboxd deadwater fell just gave us the perfect look at the reality of most domestic abuse victims nowadays, which doesn’t need any mysterious or tricky conclusions. during the first few episodes most viewers can naturally begin doubting the real victim of the story and these series perfectly show the consequences of that. david’s abusive husband role is incredibly well-acted, and i’m glad he still manages to pull off such creepy and deep characters.
