Furthermore, the series allowed me to appreciate the beauty and talent of the stunning Carolina Gaitán. A long time has passed since "Carito" participated in the Colombian reality show Popstars, and she steadily proves her growth and versatility as an actress. Here, she plays Nelly Calle, the more cheerful half of the musical duo.
Renzo on Chicas de Novela I have heard plenty of criticism regarding biographical telenovelas, but this series struck me as a refreshing alternative, ideal for enjoying a great time with the witty antics of Nelly and Fabiola Calle. Free from suffocating malice, it simply shows human beings striving for their place in society—with charming Paisa dialect to boot.
Renzo on Chicas de Novela Amid laughter and the vivid folklore of a family driven by the grit of several women, the storyline of this series produced by Caracol Televisión won the hearts of Colombian viewers through its charm, drama, and above all, the purity of a story that broke away from the usual tropes of violence and drug trafficking.
